Particle theory is all about explaining the properties of solids liquid gases by looking at what the particles do.In a solids.... particles vibrate around a fixed position .there is a strong force of attraction between each particle and they are very close together.In a liquid... the particle a close together but can move in any directions.they won't keep a fixed shape like solids do.In a gas... the particles are very far a part and move quickly.
